Alternative medicine expert Bryce Wylde gives us a peek into the health adventures he’s pursued around the world.

Red Fruit Palm Oil from Malaysia

Bryce has been investigating the health benefits, sustainability, and culinary virtues of red fruit palm oil. Primarily the secret ingredients are thought to be the Caroteoids (which give it such great red colour) and Tocotrienols. Together they help treat and prevent heart disease, diabetes, and cognitive decline, bolster immunity, protect against radiation, and help to thwart cancer. Organic red fruit palm oil is now found in health food stores, major grocers, specialty stores; Tocotrienols is found as a supplement is found in health food stores and online.

Organic Aloevera in China

Bryce visited the largest organic aloe plantations in all of China. With more than 60 million people in North America suffering from heart burn and acid indigestion, the FDA and Health Canada have issued warnings on the possible dangers of taking acid suppressing medication for too long (contributing to bone loss, osteoporosis, calcium deficiency, and b-vitamin deficiency among other things).  Aloe juice taken three times a day can cure heart burn. Aloe juice and gel is widely available online and in health stores

Sea Vegetables in Greece

The remote island in the middle of the Aegean Sea called Schinoussa harvests samples of a sea vegetable called “Posidonia Oceanica.” The Turks first discovered chicoric acid in this species. It’s an amazing anti-aging antioxidant that helps combat cellular stress and improves recovery from tissue injury. It’s available integrated into greens formulations and the wonderful micronutrients that help with energy and metabolism.

The Ice Lab in the Kur Spa

At Sparkling Hill Resort in B.C., Canada

Bryce has experienced the KurSpa’s signature treatment, which also happens to be the first in North America. Sparkling Hill’s Cryotherapy Cold Sauna (-110C or -166F) is great for rhuematoid arthritis.
