The “four pillars” of the Weight Watchers approach are food, behavior, support, and exercise. Weekly group support meetings are led by trained members, and participants are encouraged to weigh themselves, confidentially, at each meeting. For those who enjoy the convenience of the computer, engaging in Weight Watchers completely through online channels may be a good option. Cookbooks, guidelines, and online support and tools to track weight loss and find recipes and workouts are also available.

Is This Diet Vegetarian-Friendly?

Yes. Both food plans can be adapted for vegetarians using the recipes and guides provided by the Weight Watchers program.

Eating Out

Both the Flex Plan and the Core Plan can be followed when eating out. Both plans also offer a weekly allowance that makes room for special occasions, special treats, or eating out, which help you indulge occasionally without going off the diet.
